His mother noticed he had musical rhythm, so she purchased for him, the drum shown in the above picture. As Rick got older, he learned the guitar and found the guitar to be his instrument of choice, upon hearing the band KISS in concert. After performing in several 'hair' bands, he joined a local band named Toyz. In 1992, he joined Clay Hunt's Pure Delite, and worked with the band for 15 years. Rick has attended Peabody, Essex, and Towson State University, majoring in Jazz and Classical guitar. He is now a teacher for Music and Arts Center. He has very fortunately been able to see the products of his teaching. His former student, Billy Martin, signed a major contract with the global band, Good Charlotte. His former student, Dru DeCaro, currently plays guitar for Grammy-Nominated R & B singer, Miguel. Additionally, he has had many students who have gone on to become members of local bands, musical engineers, as well as a music teachers. Rick has written and recorded numerous songs for local artists in rock, country and pop music. Regina began singing at the age of 3, as a Gospel solo artist. She performed in various churches throughout N.C. By the time she was 8 years old, she joined the gospel musical group, The Williams Children, which later became The Williams Gospelettes. She performed with the Williams Gospelettes, until she moved to NJ after graduating from high school. There, she worked as a background singer for the Plain English Band. Regina left the band to join the US Army in 1989. While stationed in Mainz Gonzenheim, Germany, she performed as one of the lead singers in The Cotton Club Band, which consisted of German musicians and singers who were all Army-enlisted. While in Germany, Regina wrote and recorded a song about the Gulf War. The song proved profitable for her, as a Saudi Arabian prince liked the song and purchased it. Regina moved to England after leaving Germany, making a living doing studio work. She moved to Maryland in 1994, and joined a local band named FM Station. She later joined Clay Hunt’s Pure Delite, which she worked with for 10 years. She is so grateful to have had that opportunity. The band served as her sole income while going to college for her bachelor's degree, and she continued working with the band throughout the journey of obtaining her master's and doctoral degrees. She is now a middle school teacher, the singer for Rick and Regina Duo, and is currently recording and writing original material, as well as having recently covered ‘Calling all Angels’ by Train.
